Insurance Reimbursement

Most health insurance policies provide some coverage for mental health treatment.  It is very important to find out exactly what mental health services your insurance company covers, i.e., number of sessions allowed yearly for individual and for family.  Please note that I do not participate with any insurance company and I cannot and do not make any representation that the services performed by me will be reimbursed by your insurance company. It is important for you to contact your insurance company to learn the specifics about what and how much they will cover and what you need to do to obtain reimbursement.

Billing and Payments

I accept checks, cash and credit cards via IVY Pay. If you have a Health Savings Account (HSA), you may be able to use money from this to pay for our work together. I ask people to pay for their appointments at the time of service, unless we agree otherwise. Upon written request, I will prepare a monthly invoice which includes the date and time of service, my licensing information, and diagnosis and procedure codes for you to submit to your insurance company.

The time scheduled for your appointment is assigned to you and you alone. If you need to cancel an appointment, please provide me with 24 hours notice. If you miss a session without canceling or cancel with less than 24 hours notice, my policy is to collect 50% of your usual fee. These missed sessions cannot be billed to your insurance company.
