Taking the first step to helping a child who is struggling academically, behaviorally, socially and/or emotionally, is the most important decision you may make in your child’s life.
I look forward to meeting your child (and you).
I am a licensed psychologist whose practice focuses primarily on children, adolescents, and their families. I see each client as a puzzle. I use a creative approach and patience to find all the pieces to make the puzzle whole. Treatment techniques include: play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and bibliotherapy
In addition to therapy, I conduct psychoeducational and neuropsychological evaluations for individuals aged three through young adults. If there is a breakdown in learning, testing will uncover the whys. Recommendations are made that are practical and useful. I have worked for many years in schools and fully understand what is actually possible to accommodate in the typical classroom. Additionally, I conduct admissions assessments to all Independent schools in the Metropolitan area. If there is a question of readiness for school, I also perform developmental and readiness screening to help you make the best decision for your child.
